looking to replace Silentnight mattress with soft layers

Hi, I am looking to replace an old double Silentnight mattress. I am 5ft 1" and weigh 10st 13lbs. I am a side sleeper and sleep on my own. I like quite firm support underneath but quite like a softer layer to lie on. At present I have a mattress topper to give some softness to the top of the mattress. I like the bounce of pocket springs as I have tried lying on memory foam and found it more difficult to turn over. I have a sprung divan base that the mattress sits on.
Please could you give me what you think would be suitable options ranging from mid to more expensive mattresses.
Many thanks
Pauline

Hi Pauline Brownrigg

Thanks for the question and info, I'll try and assist.

At the body weight, you have provided you require a medium spring tension. This is to support your body weight and will not alter the overall firmness of the mattress in the comfort layer. From there you can pop the spring tension to the back of your mind as this will not change unless your body weight drastically does.

Bodyweight Spring tension
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kg Medium (1.4mm)
16 Stone / 101kg Upwards Firm (1.6mm)
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call) Soft (1.2mm)

As you have a preference for a softer comfort layer, I would advise having a look at either the Origins Comfort 1000 or the Artisan Luxury

The Origins comfort is the softest we offer in the Origins range (predominantly synthetic fibres). This will allow you to sink into the upper layer whilst still being supported by the 1000 pocket springs.

The Artisan Luxury is the softest mattress we offer in the comfort layers and is 100% natural fibre, setting it apart from the Origins Comfort 1000. This, in a medium spring, would provide you with the right support based on your body weight.

I hope this helps, if you have any further questions please don't hesitate to contact the office on 0161 437 4419
