When buying a mattress which is suitable for a 4 and half year old you need to take into consideration that this is not going to suit that child in their teens as body weight and preferred sleeping conditions are likely to change as they get older.

We would advise purchasing a good quality mattress for the short term and when your child reaches a more adult size, spending the money on a good quality product that will last into early adulthood.

Please view the Origins Comfort 1000, which has a standard medium spring unit accompanied by soft upholstery layers, best suited to someone of low body weight. This will also allow your child to grow with it as the spring unit will support body weights up to 16.5/17st.
