Mattress help for back fracture

A customer asked

I fear there is no solution to my problem but maybe you can help.

My partner is around 21 stone, 6'4" extremely muscular rugby-type.

He has fractured his back twice in the past and suffers chronic back pain.

He needs a hard mattress in order to get any decent sleep and not aggravate his condition.

I am around 10 stone and 5'7".

I cannot sleep on a firm mattress, it makes me feel bruised, like i'm sleeping on concrete.

At the moment we have a memory foam mattress which envelopes you - I love it, he hates it and consequently spends most of the night in the very firm spare bed in order to get any sleep.

This is not ideal, obviously, and if there was a way we could spend the whole night in the same bed we would be very happy.

Do you have any suggestions please?

Hi Angela,

I note the discrepancy between you in respect of the required feel and in the circumstances, would suggest that you opt for a zip link set of mattresses.

This would enable you to have a softer tension than the firm, which your partner prefers, but these are only available in our Artisan range.

Bodyweight Spring tension
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kg Medium (1.4mm)
16 Stone / 101kg Upwards Firm (1.6mm)
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call) Soft (1.2mm)

Unfortunately, as you have not disclosed a budget, it is difficult for me to advise on one specifically for you both, however, please call our office to discuss further and obtain specific advice as to the suitability of one of the mattresses in this range.

I hope this helps,

Kind Regards Gary
