Mattress Recommendation – comparable to Vi Spring Devonshire?
As with most people looking at buying a new bed we’re getting a quite a muddle as to what it is we need. We’ve been really impressed with your website and the trouble you to take with customers and potential customers so are hoping for your expert advice please. We’re currently sleeping on a 12 year old Cumfilux Orthopedic (Sprung). We didn’t actually feel that the mattress itself is that bad (we’re now thinking it might be exacerbating some of our issues!) but in anycase have decided that we would like to upgrade from a Double to Super King. We started off under the illusion that we needed a firm mattress but after a lot of research realised that we probably need to soften up. We were also under the illusion that £1k would buy us a good mattress!Up until this weekend we’d tried only firm mattresses but when talking to a retailer about our various aches etc he asked us to try:-•Tempur Cloud 27cm, which I loved but my partner really doesn’t want to sleep on foam and is very concerned about heat / fumes. So I think we’ll be going for a pocket sprung•Vi Spring Devonshire (Medium/Firm). I also went on to try a soft tension in same which I think was on a firm base rather than sprung. We both unfortunately really loved the Devonshire……To be perfectly frank both are out of our price range but especially so the Vi Spring. So I am hoping that you can recommend something from your range and also ask your opinion as to what tensions you think would suit usMe, weight fluctuates between 10-11st. 5’ 2”,Partner, 13st, 6’Between us we’ve got lower back pain, hip and shoulder painI’ve always like sleeping on a pretty firm mattress but think I need something softer and really enjoyed the sinking but supportive feeling from both of the aboveWe’d like a Superking, Divan and due to access issues we think we need zip & link.If you do recommend something from your range – is there a similar one we could try out in a retail store to get a feeling of what it might be like? My other half is struggling with the concept of buying a bed online without trying it so I’m going to need to do some good convincing….Thanks in advance
