Hello.
I have a very quick question. I weigh around 8-9 stone, I am just wondering, what mattress tension should I go for? Soft? Please help me out on this.
I hope to hear back from you soon.
Thank you.

Hi Michael,

Thank you for your enquiry on our website. With your particular body weight, I would recommend a soft spring tension, which will give you the correct level of support.

Bodyweight Spring tension
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kg Medium (1.4mm)
16 Stone / 101kg Upwards Firm (1.6mm)
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call) Soft (1.2mm)

This spring tension is only available with our Artisan range, which are constructed using predominantly natural fibres and have the option of a soft, medium or firm spring tension dependent on your body weight.

However, as with anything this is subject to your personal preference. So if you would like a firmer support, you might opt for a medium tension, which all of our Origins range are this spring tension.  Although this will give the mattress a more firmer overall feeling than a soft spring tension as you would be relying on the upholstery for support as your slight bodyweight will not compress the springs as much as a heavier person.

I trust that this helps, but if you have any further queries or would like more specific advice please do not hesitate to contact the office on 0161 437 4419.  Our office hours are 8 am - 8 pm Monday to Friday and 10 am - 4 pm Saturday and Sunday.

Kind Regards

Michaela
