Sue

I am petite and my partner is large. When he turns/bounces over in bed it wakes me up. I have shoulder problems and must put as little pressure on my shoulders as possible, even if I lie on my side. I sleep in all positions and my partner on his side. Which mattress would you recommend for us please? Thanks

Hi Sue,

Thank you for your enquiry.
In order for me to recommend one of our mattresses for you, I would need to know both of your body weights, how you both like a mattress to feel from the top upholstery layers which we call the comfort layers and also what your budget is for the mattress.

Bodyweight Spring tension
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kg Medium (1.4mm)
16 Stone / 101kg Upwards Firm (1.6mm)
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call) Soft (1.2mm)

With a pocket sprung mattress, you should not really feel the other person moving about as the springs are not joined together.  However this is not 100% guaranteed and therefore to avoid this altogether, we would recommend either a zip & link mattress or a foam/latex mattress. Unfortunately, zip and links are only available in king size and above. At this moment in time, the only latex mattress that we are producing is our Origins Pocket Latex 1500 which has two layers of Talalay latex on top of pocket springs.   It is also a non-turn mattress and can therefore only be rotated.  This mattress, however, it is a firm in the upholstery and with your shoulder pain, I would be more inclined to recommend soft or medium upholstery layers.  We wouldn't recommend anything too firm in the upholstery for side sleepers as this can cause pressure pains in the shoulders, hips and knees.

Our Fusion mattresses which are made of 100% Natural Latex, are not being produced at this moment in time due to sourcing difficulties of the quality materials required for our mattresses.  We do however have a limited stock of these mattresses in either our outlet site or eBay site.

It would be of benefit to you to telephone our office and speak to one of our advisors who will be able to obtain more detailed information from you in order to recommend the correct mattress for you both.  Please telephone our office on 0161 437 4419.

Kind Regards
Michaela
