Memory foam or latex mattress?

First of all a great info site. We have been looking around many, many places in trying to find a replacement for our mattress but find its one hell of a confusion of different information and with some companies there is next to none. We then found your web site and have now seen something which might fit (or not) needs. In the past few years I have had a back problem and I don't think the mattress that is not helping so I really want to make sure that I'm buying the right one. We have seen the Origins Pocket 1500 DOUBLE & the ORIGINS POCKET LATEX 1500 DOUBLE and I would like some info on these if possible. My Weight is -11st 7lbs and my Wife is 9st 5lbs so is a Medium the one to go for?
In your Videos and info you say that the Insulator Pad on the top of the springs is usually made of recycled cloth but in these two Mattresses they have a 1inch FOAM insulator so the first question is will this be as good and will it being foam make the mattress hot?
I see that the ORIGINS POCKET 1500 is 2 Sided (turnable) but is the LATEX one the same or not?
We have a solid base divan so will both of these mattresses be ok to use on this?
I have seen hundreds of reports from people who have bought a Memory Foam or a Latex Mattress some say they are good but there seems a lot who have problems with them ie very hot to sleep on. I know everyone is not the same but any advice from you would be good.
