Most suitable mattress

Please could you recommend the most suitable mattress for me and husband. I am around 5ft6 and 10.5stone and he is around 5ft 11 and 13stone.
We previously had a memory foam mattress with springs which we loved but have upgraded to a king size, purchasing a new mattress from Dreams from the 'Therpur' range - we went for a medium soft 'serenity' but find it quite firm compared to our previous one and it doesn't have much 'give'. Since sleeping on it I have bad upper right hand side back and neck pain. (So bad I am waking several times a night in agony trying to adjust my position and waking up in pain in the morning- I am normally a side sleeper on my left) I have visited the doctor and have been told it is likely from the mattress and on a course of acupuncture and muscle rubs.
I would like to replace this mattress with something that suits better but am very worried about what to go for.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Kind Regards

Hi Jade,

Sorry to hear you're struggling with your Dreams therapur mattress.

In terms of options I'd recommend you have a look at our Hybrid 4 mattress, a mattress which is our comparator to the Tempur cloud. This doesn't contain springs but has a softer sink top layer and removable hybrid foam topper. This should be more forgiving for you and your partner but still supportive.

If you're looking for a more traditional pocket sprung mattress but without memory foam, which we don't sell due to its short shelf life and heat, then the Artisan Naturals in a medium spring tension would give you a medium feel with some sink in the top layer. We have an article all about memory foam here.

The difference is the Artisan Naturals will be a cooler sleep as its more breathable but the Hybrid 4 will be more progressive and probably similar to the feel you like in memory foam.

Please give the office a call if you require any further advice.

Kind Regards Gary
