New Bespoke Bed Frame
We are redecorating our bedroom and our carpenter is building a bespoke bed frame with wooden slats, and we are looking for a new mattress and are very interested in your Artisan Naturals Double Mattress. I am 5'10" and weight 10 Stone 2lbs and my wife is 5'6'' and weighs 12 Stone, so would this be the perfect mattress and what would you recommend?
Good Morning Darren,
Thanks for your question.
When you say bespoke, as this can refer to a number of different things, is it a bespoke size or is it simply that it's being made from scratch?
We can do bespoke size beds in the Artisan range but there is an additional charge. The additional charge is 10% per additional 6 inches. It is worth noting that due to the bespoke sizes these products don't carry our standard 60 day love it or return it guarantee due to the limited resale ability we have on items such as these.
However, if it isn't a non-standard size then you're protected as normal with the guarantee. Please let us know if it is a non-standard size as we can then quote a price for you.
The Artisan Naturals is a true medium in the top layers giving a slight sink in sensation but not too much. At your body weights the Medium spring tension will cover you both quite comfortably.
If you're side sleepers then a true medium in the top layers is fine as it won't cause pressure point pains in your shoulders, hips or knees.
The Artisan range of mattresses can go on to a slatted bed frame as long as the gaps are no bigger than 3"". If, when measured, they are bigger than 3" then you'll simply need to purchase some standard sheets of MDF, plywood or pegboard to place over them to protect the mattress from indentation or damage.
I hope this has answered your questions fully but if you do have any further queries please don't hesitate to contact our office on 0161 437 4419.
Kind Regards, Lee.
