new mattress selection, is foam right for me?

I have a 196 cm x 180 cm Millbrook 2500 spring mattress and base at the moment. I'm looking to change the mattress shortly but keep to the same sized bed base. I am around 17 stone and a have a rather large posterior, which bows my back causing lower back pain if the mattress is to hard. I am also a very warm sleeper, so like a cool bed. I was looking at a memory foam type mattress but think it will be to hot but I like the body cradling/supporting nature of memory foam. Could you suggest a range of mattresses that would suit me? Thanks for your question.
The closest standard size replacement for what you have at the moment would be a Super King at 202cm by 182cm. Other than that you would have to get one made to your exact size (we can do this with our Artisan range!)
If you are a warm sleeper then I would steer clear of memory foam, I could recommend that you have a look at our Latex offerings as they are more breathable that Memory foam and a lot cooler, but I would be a bit reluctant if you are a warm sleeper as I think you would be better off with a natural fibre mattress.
The decision you will have to make is are you willing to sacrifice the cradling feel of latex/foam for the coolness of a natural fibre mattress?
Have a look at the Artisan Luxury mattress as this has really soft top layers and is all natural so you should find it both cradling and cool. If you're not sure this is the right one for you then please drop us a line and we will see what else we can do.
