No turn matress from Button and Sprung

In your opinion what's wrong with Button and Sprung mattresses being no turn. They have the comfort layers and then the springs underneath and I can't understand why they would be inferior. Please can you explain. I live alone and have back problems so I couldn't turn a heavy matress but don't want to waste my money v

Thank you for your question.
A fully turnable mattress will always last a lot longer as you are utilising the whole of the sleeping surfaces by flipping the mattress over and rotating it, which in turn means that you are giving one side of the mattress time to rest. With a non-turn mattress, the sleeping surface is always being used and does not get time to rest as you can only rotate the mattress.
Theoretically, you can turn a no turn mattress, but I wouldn’t advise it. One sided mattresses can be really problematic and we have written about it here and what to avoid. If you did turn the mattress you would be just sleeping on at most, an insulator and then the spring unit directly. I can imagine it would be very uncomfortable and not good for you. The only exception is latex and foam composite mattresses which are one-sided by design. Like Our Origins Pocket Latex 1500.
