Is the mattress heavy - I had one where I struggled to lift it to tuck the sheet under. I am looking for a bed for our son who is 6 ft and weighs about 14 stone - it has to be comfortable because he has rheumatoid arthritis. what do you suggest?

In your particular case, we would suggest that you ought to be looking at a medium tension mattress with softer top layers so as not to aggravate your son's arthritis.
Please view the Origins Comfort 1000, which has a standard medium tension spring unit with softer upholstery layers, which we feel will be best suited to your son.
