Origins Zip & Link Mattress

Thank you for your question. All of our Origins range of mattresses are constructed with predominantly man made fibres and have a medium spring tension as standard. This supports body weights up to 16.5 stone depending on your height. The upholstery layers on top of the spring determine how the mattress feels and you should consider your sleep positions and comfort preferences to determine which mattress would be the most suitable for you.

The Origins Comfort 1000 has a slightly softer than medium level of comfort in the upholstery layers. This is ideal for side sleepers and we also recommend this mattress for children who need a supportive mattress whilst their bones are still growing. This is a two sided mattress that will require turning over on a monthly basis for the first 12 months and then every two to three months thereafter. We recommend following the care instructions sent out to all customers for all of our mattresses.

The Origins Pocket 1500 has a true medium level of comfort in the upholstery layers. This is our most popular mattress in this range as it is suitable for all sleep positions. It is not too firm for side sleepers as the top layer provides cushioning nor is it too soft for front and back sleepers as the underneath comfort layers are more supportive so that they do not sink in too much making it ideal for combination sleepers. This is a two sided mattress that requires regular turning to prolong the lifespan.

The Origins Reflex 1000 has a firmer medium level of comfort in the upholstery layers. This is also suitable for all sleep positions as it still has a little cushioning in the top layer for those side sleepers who prefer a more supportive feel. We recommend this mattress for guest houses and B & Bs as the high-density reflex foam helps the mattress retain its shape for longer. This is also a two sided mattress that when turned regularly will help with the settlement of the upholstery layers.

The Origins Pocket Latex 1500 is our only one sided mattress. The comfort layers of this mattress are Talalay latex which requires pressure to be able to mould to you. This means that the lighter your body weight the firmer the mattress will feel and vice versa. This mattress requires rotating on a regular basis.
