RE: Origins Pocket 1500
Hey there,
Im extremely interested in you Origins Pocket 1500 mattress but have some questions.
My interest in getting a new mattress is for a rental property I'm in and my estate agent who represents the owner after my demanded a new mattress as the one I have is sagging and not supportive is looking for a full quote in order to forward to the owner.
So as I reside in the Republic of Ireland, Dublin to be exact I was wondering how much delivery is including the King size Origins Pocket 1500?
I was reading your information page which is refreshing to see. It mentioned about boarding over a 'Sprung' slat bed frame, which is what I have hence I feel why the current mattress hasn't lasted. But the 'Sprung' slats on my bed are of such bad quality that 80% of them don't arch anymore and are flat, yet still have much give. Should I still board over?
I was looking on your Outlet section and I saw the same mattress as King Zip & Link, is this a the mattress with the Divan bed frame? also does it have a headboard? I guess if my current bed frame even with boarding over with plywood is not enough maybe this option would make more sense.
Any way I probably should have called as many questions I know, I have been looking for sometime and really want to get my current uncomfortable sleeping situation sorted.
Regards,
Marcel.
Hi Marcel,
Thank you for your enquiry.
The first thing to say is that we do deliver to the Republic of Ireland and there are no delivery charges. Similarly, if you need to return the products to us under our 60 day "love it or return it" guarantee, there is no charge. The Origins Pocket 1500 has a standard medium tension spring unit together with man made upholstery providing an overall medium feel. We are not able to confirm that this would be suitable for you as you have not provided details of your body weight, although for people of between 10 and 17 stone this will still provide that overall medium feel. The current price of the origins Pocket 1500 is £620.00 for a king size.
First Layer: 300 gsm Wool: This component is blended with (nominal amount) silk to give the primary layer beneath the fabric a gloriously soft cushion.
Second Layer: 750gsm Very soft Polyester: This coupled with the layers below brings the level of upholstery quite high. However, when compressed through tufting gives these layers a medium comfort but also has sufficient support by use of the springs.
Third Layer: 500gsm Polyester: This is the cushioning layer that acts as the dampener between the insulator layer below and the soft polyester that will follow.
Fourth Layer: One inch foam insulator: Directly on top of the spring unit we use a one inch layer of HD foam. This cushions you from the spring unit but also works with you enabling the pocket springs to rise and fall as you move.
The stretch knit mattress side panels are machine stitched . Traditionally hand tufted. Even though the mattress side panels are 9″ deep, the undulations caused by the abundant upholstery brings the mattress depth to a more realistic 13″.

With regard to the zip and link option available in our outlet, this is just for the mattresses and does not include a base or headboard. Zip and link sets are more expensive than the one piece versions of the same mattress. As far as your current base is concerned, we would suggest that you do place some form of barrier, usually thin (3-5mm) MDF over the slats to provide the mattress with a uniform surface upon which to sit and prevent ridging occurring as a result of the mattress dipping into the gaps between the slats.
We trust that the above is of help, but if you require any further advice or guidance, please call our office on 0161 437 4419 and speak with one of our advisors.
Kind regards,
Amy.
