Recommendation, 10 st/18 st couple with differing requirements
Hi, my husband and are at looking to replace our Kingsize divan - it has dual firmnesses so my side is a medium and his is a firm. I am 10 stone/5' 72, he's around 18 stone and 6 feet tall.I sleep on my side or front and prefer a supportive but not hard mattress, whereas he finds hard beds more comfortable. He tends to get warm in bed (whereas I'm a lizard who is rarely hot enough!) so I don't think a memory foam topper would work for us.We want to go up to a Super Kingsize and ideally spend less than £2000. Are you able to suggest a combination that would work for us?Thank you, Jo
Hi Jo,
With a weight differential such as yours, I would suggest that you opt for a split spring tension, medium for you and firm for your husband. Another option would be a zip and link set. These are ideal when one spring tension will not cover both sleepers, where one partner disturbs the other with movement throughout the night and where there may be access issues getting the mattress to the room of your choice.

Such products are available in our Artisan range which is predominately constructed with natural fibres which offer the coolest sleep surface. I would suggest that you view the Artisan Tailored Pocket 2000, which can be made in a split tension and for a super king size is currently £1910 (Nov 2018) and the super king size zip and link set would be slightly over budget at £2160 (Nov 2018).
I trust this was helpful, if you would like any further information or would like to discuss the suitability of any of our mattresses please do not hesitate to contact the office on 0161 437 4419.
Kind Regards
