Replacing a mattress

Mrs Bear Tyler

Dear John Ryan, We need to replace a Slumberland Ortholux 800pocket king-size mattress. Unfortunately we can't afford your lovely-looking 'Artisan' range. We are both around 9 stone, and this mattress has suited us both very well.
Many thanks,
Mrs Bear Tyler

Hi Mrs Tyler,

Thank you for your enquiry.

The primary consideration when choosing a new mattress is the body weight(s) of the individual(s) intending to use that mattress.

In your case you are both border-line soft/medium and we note that ideally you would like a mattress from our Artisan range, but your budget will not permit.

Bodyweight Spring tension
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kg Medium (1.4mm)
16 Stone / 101kg Upwards Firm (1.6mm)
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call) Soft (1.2mm)

On that basis, please view the Origins Pocket 1500, which has a standard medium spring and man made upholstery providing an overall medium feel. This mattress is the best selling product in the Origins range as detailed at the foot of this response.

However to fully recommend this model we would need to know your preference for feel in those top layers as well as your sleeping habits. For example, side sleepers need to avoid anything too firm in the top layers otherwise it will cause pressure point pains in places such as shoulders, hips and knees.

I hope this has answered your questions fully but if you do have any further queries please don't hesitate to contact our office on 0161 437 4419.

Kind Regards, Lee.
