Replacing mattresses but don't want to have to turn them

We have two slatted beds, pushed together (Warren Evans) and have had the mattresses about 13 years. We both (in our 70s) suffer from aches when we get up in the morning and I (8 stone female) find turning over in bed quite uncomfortable in my upper back and neck. Can you recommend new mattresses for us, preferably that we don't have to turn, as it becomes more and more difficult with age! I've tried memory foam and don't like it at all.

Hi Caroline,

Thank you for your question.

Our naturally upholstered and latex mattresses are quite heavy even in a single size, so therefore, I would suggest that you look at a product from our Origins range and in particular, the Origins Comfort 1000. This mattress will be ideal for your body weight and if your husband is of a similar weight or slightly heavier, it should be fine for him also.  This will mattress will give you a softer feel from the top upholstery layers which are on top of the springs that give you the comfort.

Origins Comfort 1000

The Origins range is upholstered in synthetic fibres and as such, is much lighter than the other ranges referred to above, making it easier to turn.

The only mattress that we make that does not need to be turned, is our Origins Pocket Latex 1500 but it would be far too firm for you at your body weight.

If you would like any further guidance or advice, please call our office on 0161 437 4419.

Kind regards Julie
