If you have a one piece mattress with two different spring tensions on each half i.e. medium and firm, unless you want to change the side of the bed that you sleep on, you can only flip it from head to toe to retain the original tension on the original side. With your particular body weights and bearing in mind that you will be using a slatted base, we would suggest that you opt for a medium tension across the whole mattress.It is likely that the reason for your aches and pains is that your current mattress is the wrong tension/feel.
 
 
The reason we have suggested one tension is that when using a slatted base, whether sprung or flat, we recommend placing a barrier, usually thin (3-5 mm) MDF over the slats to provide the mattress with a uniform surface upon which to sit and prevent ridging occurring as a result of the mattress dipping into the gaps between the slats. Using such a barrier will tend to make any mattress feel slightly firmer and is likely to suit you both. 

 
On the basis of our advice to opt for the same tension across the whole mattress, we would suggest that you view the Origins Pocket 1500, which has man made upholstery and a fixed spring tension providing an overall medium feel. However, if you would prefer natural upholstery, please view the Artisan Natural, Artisan Bespoke 004 and the Artisan Bespoke all of which can have the spring tension selected and if necessary, split in a king size and above.
