Thanks for your question about washing removable mattress covers.

We always advise with these covers, which are usually polyester to take care when washing them. We advise you get them dry cleaned to ensure they dont warp with excess heat.

When washed in a washing machine they can sometimes stretch and warp depending on the temperature and spin cycle. Dry cleaning is a better option to ensure it keeps its shape. If you do use a washing machine use 30 degrees and then line dry, don't tumble dry over spin excessively. IKEA mattresses also use similar zip off covers and the advice applies to them too. They recommend dry cleaning or a cool wash with line drying.
