What is the best firm mattress?

Hi there, I am looking for a King size mattress for a couple Person 1: 7.5 St - 5ft 2in Person 2: 11.4 St - 5ft 10in I am experiencing some back pain and I believe the old mattress in our rent flat is part of the problem.
I am inclined to get a firmer mattress (even 'ortho').
My budget is between £400-£500.
I will only be staying in the UK for two years and I won't be taking the mattress with me when I leave.
However I do want to have a decent night sleep.
I thought about getting the "Origins Pocket 1500" but I am not sure if it would be to soft for our taste.
