Ali Talukdar

Hello
I would like some advice on which type of mattress will be best for me. I weigh 14 stones and have tried spring and memory foam mattresses, both of which have lost their flat shape after some time. The centre of the mattress would go in like a sort of a hollow.
I need a mattress that won't lose its shape/flatness due to my weight yet I don't want something too firm as it is obvious the softer the mattress the more comfortable it is.
So a mattress that won't be affected by my weight at all and also very comfy. Price isn't an issue.
Kind Regards

Hi Ali

Thanks for your question.

At your body weight you need a medium tension spring to give you the correct support level within the mattress.

Bodyweight Spring tension
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kg Medium (1.4mm)
16 Stone / 101kg Upwards Firm (1.6mm)
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call) Soft (1.2mm)

There isn't a mattress made that will not settle to some extent over time, no matter what product is used in the fillings of the mattress they will compress to some extent some more than others.

I would look at a good quality latex product, that will not settle quite as much as some other upholstery layers. We have the Origins Pocket Latex 1500 mattress, that has a medium tension spring as standard, and a latex top layer.

If you require any further assistance please call the office on 0161 437 4419.

Kind Regards
