Which is the right mattress for me?

Hi, I am looking for some advice on the right mattress for me, having recently spent £1600 on a Vi Spring Devonshire (soft tension) and still waking up in pain! I have read all of the invaluable advice on your website and I think I am going to have to purchase another mattress, as Vi Spring won't allow me to upgrade. I am interested in your Artisan Luxury King size.
I am 8 stone and suffer with neck, shoulder and lower back pain. You may think it best if I call your team, but either way, I look forward to hearing from you.

I am sorry to hear of your mattress woes and that Vi-Spring are not prepared to allow an exchange. Our Artisan Luxury is the softest naturally upholstered mattress that we make, however, as you suggest, it may be better for you to call in to discuss your requirements in details and obtain specific advice as to suitability.
At your body weight, you do come within the range of the soft spring tension. However as you are having problems with aches and pains, it may be that you need a slightly firmer spring tension or even slightly firmer top comfort layers as the mattress may be too soft for you.

In the meantime, it may be worth checking what type of base you have as I would suggest that if you have a sprung divan base this will provide an extra degree of softness and a more forgiving feel. If you do have a sprung divan base, by adding some mdf or hardboard underneath the mattress, this will help to firm the mattress up and it might be all that is required.
