What is does a zip and link mean?
And another question is there a big difference in comfort between the lower end Artisan and the higher when you lie on them

Hi Francisca,

Thank you for your question.

Zip and Links are two mattresses,  available in king size and above, which are split down the middle and create the same overall sleeping surface that a one piece mattress does. These are usually supplied where access to the bedroom is an issue and a one piece will not fit or where the customer requires a split tension.

The products in our Artisan range are made to suit different requirements in terms of body weight(s), preferred feel and budget and without this information, it is not possible to provide you with an indication as to how each product will perform or feel in terms of comfort.   The Artisan mattresses are traditional pocket sprung mattresses where the springs give you the support and that support is dictated by body weight.  They then all have different upholstery layers which are on top of the springs that give you the comfort.

Bodyweight Spring tension
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kg Medium (1.4mm)
16 Stone / 101kg Upwards Firm (1.6mm)
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call) Soft (1.2mm)

Please call our office on 0161 437 4419 to provide the details referred to above and receive specific advice as to suitability. I trust that this assists.

Kind regards Julie
