TAKE OUR MATTRESS QUIZ

Mattresses for varying weights

Dan asked

Hi,
Firstly, what a fantastic website. I’ve learnt more on here about mattresses in half an hour than in have in a lifetime. Great work!
We need to replace our mattress, but both myself and my partner vary in weights quite dramatically, she being 9 stone ish and 5ft 4, me being nearly 20 and 6ft 4. Ideally. From what i can gather from your site, a Zip and Link (ideally king size) would be the best solution. We are, however restricted by budget £600-£800, thus are looking for the best all round compromise. Would an Origins 1500 with topper suit, or should we be looking at something else?

Hi Dan,

Thanks for your question and your lovely feedback on the site.

We live and breathe mattresses so it’s great to hear it’s helping the public! You’re so close to the recommendation we would have given! Well done! It means all our written articles and advice is spot on, well nearly.

Given your budget and weight range we would recommend an Origins 1500 zip and link one side medium one side firm (1500/2000) split.

BodyweightSpring tension
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kgMedium (1.4mm)
16 Stone / 101kg UpwardsFirm (1.6mm)
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call)Soft (1.2mm)

This would provide a medium feel for both of you.

The other option would be looking at the Artisan range but it’s significantly more than your budget due to the vast natural fillings we include.

If you need any more advice please don’t hesitate to contact us for further recommendation advice.

Kind Regards Gary
