Different softness
Hi. My apologies for asking a question which I’m sure has been asked many times before but a personal reply might help me out!
My wife wants an new mattress because she says the current one is worn out/uncomfortable. We are both around 5ft 5″ and 11 stone, I prefer a soft mattress but she says that soft beds give her back pain. Our current mattress is a 6 year old king size Outlast 20cm + 7cm memory foam on a slatted base which has settled quite significantly but obviously not turnable.
Your advice would be greatly appreciated

Your body weights dictate that a medium spring tension/feel mattress is most appropriate. If you were to opt for a soft spring tension to suit you, this would not provide the correct level of support for your weight and will no doubt lead to aches and pains. The comfort of the mattress is provided by the upholstery and it may be that a medium spring with soft upholstery will suit you both.
Please view the Origins Comfort 1000, which has a standard medium tension spring unit together with soft layers of man made upholstery.

Alternatively, if you prefer natural upholstery, it may be worth viewing the Artisan Luxury, which can have the spring tension selected to suit and has soft layers of natural upholstery.
