Origins Comfort to replace memory foam

Julie asked
22nd October 2014

Hi I’d like your advice on what mattress or mattress/topper to get for my double divan bed. I have had a Dunlopillo mattress in the past and loved it but am not keen on my current memory foam mattress so want to avoid this next time. I’m 5ft 3″ and weigh 8st11 so I probably don’t want to go for anything too firm. I am thinking of your Origins Comfort with a latex topper and have been looking at the Yanis Luxury 50 topper at £199 for a double. Would this be a good combo do you think?

Thanks Julie

Hi Julie,

Thanks for your question.

Our Origins Comfort 1000 mattress is the softest mattress in our Origins range in it’s top layers. This will give as much sink into that top layer that can be achieved within that range.

As far as a mattress topper is concerned, we would suggest that you wait until you have tried your mattress for at least 4-6 weeks before going to the expense of such a purchase, as one may not be necessary.

We similarly wouldn’t recommend a Latex topper for use with this mattress as this will generally completely alter the sleep surface. We would be more inclined to recommend an online retailer called Soak and Sleep. They have a much wider range of mattress toppers than we do and you should be looking at something like wool or microfibres.

If you would like further information or advice regarding this or any of our products please do not hesitate to contact our office on 0161 437 4419.

Kind Regards, John and Ryan.
