Will normal fitted sheets fit a John Ryan Mattress?
Hi John and Ryan, I’m so pleased I found your site!
I’m hoping you can help me with this or point me in the right direction if you can’t. I was looking at the zip and lock beds and had a couple of questions about fitted sheets – if I buy the super king size will ‘normal’ fitted single sheets fit the beds when they are separated as they are 6′ 6″ long or is it better to buy the extra king where the beds would be exactly the same size as 2 singles? Also, would super king size fitted sheets be too big for the extra king bed when it is zipped and linked?
I wanted to buy the beds for my sons’ bedroom. Aged 17 and 19 – one is at university during term time and home for the holidays so I thought the younger one could use it as a large bed then separate them when the eldest one comes home. Trouble is these ‘boys’ are 6′ and 6’1″ and probably still growing so most likely need the super king size!
If I need specialised fitted sheets can you recommend anywhere?

The super king sized sheets will have an extra 3″ in the length and may appear baggy if placed on an extra king size mattress, whether one piece or zip and link. There are some 12″ deep 3ft by 6ft 6in super king size sheets on ebay, which would fit the mattresses when split, however, they are priced at £25.99 each. I am not aware of any other retailer, although if you search ebay or the internet, you may come up with some cheaper. I hope that this helps,
