We are looking to purchase a Super King size mattress for our divan base as quickly as possible but are absolutely bamboozled by the options available and what we need. We recently visited a local Dreams store, only to be addressed by an over keen salesman, who was obviously desperate for the commission and not remotely interested in our physical conditions. My husband's job involves a lot of heavy lifting, which over the years, combined with football at a high level, has recently resulted in two bulging discs. Our existing memory foam mattress (purchased only 4 years ago and cost us a small fortune) is terrible and has both of our backs in agony so we are therefore looking for a firmer, more supportive mattress. My husband tends to overheat and perspire during the night on this current mattress for some reason so whilst looking for the most supportive mattress, I believe we may require a steer on whether we should opt for a topper, and if so, which one?

I weigh around 13 stone and my husband around 15 stone. I'm not sure whether you require any further details to help give you a more informed picture of events now however I would be very grateful for your guidance and advice as to the most suitable mattress/topper for us both. Many thanks. Helen .
