Comparison to Sealy International mattress
Dear John, my wife has fallen in love with BFB's Sydney KS Sealy International mattress. Do you have anything that compares to this, what are your thoughts on this mattress - is it worth the money??
Would be grateful for any sugestions re mattresses - my wife suffers from a bad back and we are both heavy in stature. Also, I have a question re. your recommendations i.e. Sequence Support vs Origins 2000 - why is the Origins 2000 dearer when you refer to Sequence Support as being the best?
.
Hi Patrick,
Thanks for your question.
What we find is that most retailers don't fully disclose how they construct and as such we struggle to draw any comparisons. Anything with Sealy tends to be similar to Orthopaedic, which tend to be really firm mattresses.
As you disclose your wife's bad back, we'd advise to steer clear of anything too firm in the top layers as this will only serve to exacerbate those pains.
Our Origins Pocket 2000 is very much a true medium feeling model in the top layers. The 2000 (Firm) spring accommodates body weights between 17 and 23st so as long as your body weights are within those guidelines it should be absolutely fine.
Bodyweight | Spring tension |
---|---|
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kg | Medium (1.4mm) |
16 Stone / 101kg Upwards | Firm (1.6mm) |
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call) | Soft (1.2mm) |
The Sequence is a now discontinued model.
I hope this has answered your questions fully but if you do have any further queries please don't hesitate to contact our office on 0161 437 4419. Our office is open Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm and Saturday and Sunday 10am to 4pm.
