Dear John and Ryan.I wonder if you can advise?

Unfortunately we have already fallen foul of the Dreams trap and only wish we had found your site earlier. We bought a Tempur Original mattress for our aching backs & from them specifically because of their comfort exchange policy since the price in a king size was some £1600.It was like sleeping on a sand bag so we had it changed to their own brand 2000 pocket sprung mattress,encased in foam and with a memory foam pillow top. The first few nights were heavenly but after only three weeks the pillow top has squashed down and feels uncomfortable. It's called a Resplendant mattress and is apparently made by Nestledown who we've never heard of but cost £1400.We're told it can't be faulty so therefore not entitled to a refund & should choose something else. I don't know where to start and not sure I can trust the sales team for reliable advice as we've already been told quite conflicting things. I am 5ft 1 and weigh 7 stone,hubby is 6ft 4 and weighs 13 stone. We would prefer some type of springs/" title="pocket spring">pocket spring mattress,either with traditional fillings or perhaps with latex as superior to memory foam. We have the Tempur Aubergine base which we separately from Lee Longlands since Dreams did not have the bases in stock at the time to go with the mattress. It's essentially a platform base but with wooden slats ( so I'm told because I can't see or feel them) underneath the fabric covering. Any ideas,we have the £1800 in our minds budget wise,there are some around the price sold by Dreams which are Hypnos or Staples or Sleepeeze but am finding it difficult to find out what's actually in them since they them something different. Would be very grateful for any advice so as not to choose another disaster!
