Latex or Memory Foam mattress?

I am looking to buy a "dreamy" king size or super king size bed and in the sea of possibilities it has proven to be a very difficult task. My budget is around £2,000. I have tried V-Spring and other pocket spring mattresses but have opted for memory foam; 22 deluxe, even though Cloud 25 was quite comfy too. Now I noticed that you do not do memory foam brands, and stock latex, why is that?

I am ok with the heat retention quality of them as I always tend to suffer from being cold at night, and need a heavy duvet. Also noticed there are spring mattresses with memory foam layer on top, which ones are the most luxurious?

Looking to have the mattress on a slatted base, as apparently it lenghtens the lifespan of the mattress and improves airflow, is this true?
