For your particular body weight we would suggest a medium spring tension/feel mattress is appropriate. This would also apply to your partner if his body weight is between 10 -17 stones. Please view the Origins Pocket 1500, which has a standard medium tension spring unit together with man made upholstery providing an overall medium feel.

Alternatively, if you prefer natural upholstery, please view the Artisan Naturals or Artisan Bespoke 004, both of which can have the spring tension selected to suit and both of which contain natural upholstery providing an overall medium feel.

The Pocket 1500 and the Naturals are the best selling products in their respective ranges as detailed at the foot of this response and all the mattresses referred to are double sided, which will add to their longevity. If you are intending to use any of our products on a slatted base, we would advocate placing a barrier, usually thin (3-5mm) MDF over the slats to provide the mattress with a uniform surface upon which to sit and prevent ridging occurring as a result of the mattress dipping into the gaps between the slats.
