A latex mattress curvature of the spine
I have a Tempur mattresseDeLuxe purchased in October 2005. I find that it is now developing a noticiceable dip where I sleep. I'm weigh 12st 3 oz . I have always had a curvature of the spine and I feel that the mattress is not supporting my lower back where I am getting some pain. Could you suggest a latex mattress that would be suitable and would it fit on a base that could be lifted for underneath storage, especially the gas assisted ones. A price guide for a double or king size would also be appreciated. With my thanks, yours, Michael Lilley.
Hi Michael,
Thanks for your question.
It sounds to me that your tempur mattress has come to the end of its life, please note 12 years is quite good to get out of this style of mattress, given that its a man-made foam. Given your body weight and curvature of the spine, i would recommend you have a look at our Fusion 3 mattress.
This is a 100% natural latex mattress, it comes with a medium core which is correct for your body weight, and also comes with a separate 5cm latex topper. Making this style of mattress in two parts gives you more flexibility, as in so many years if the core mattress is fine, but the topper is looking worn you can simply change the topper instead of going to the expense of a new mattress.
Have you seen our ottoman bases? This is the design you are describing in your question, they give you maximum storage when space is an issue. Fusion 3 Double Mattress Price: £1260 Ottoman Double Price: £435 Fusion 3 Kingsize Mattress Price £1440 Ottoman Kingsize Price: £540 All prices are also on site and include VAT.
