I am 5'5'' - 8.11st and my husband 6' - 11.5st: Which spring tension would you recommend for the Artisan Bespoke 04.

Hi Sonia,

Thank you for your question.

Your husband is matched to a Medium spring tension. The spring tension is what provides the correct level of support within the mattress itself.

With your body weight you could go one of two ways as you are borderline between soft and medium.

If you prefer a softer feeling mattress then you could opt for the Soft spring.

Alternatively, if you prefer something a bit more supportive then you could opt for the Medium spring.

Bodyweight Spring tension
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kg Medium (1.4mm)
16 Stone / 101kg Upwards Firm (1.6mm)
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call) Soft (1.2mm)

Either of these springs will give you the correct level of support. It's then all about what you want from the top layers, also known as the comfort layers of the mattress.

Comfort is very personal and subjective; what is comfortable for you won't be comfortable for me for example. Ultimately, only you yourself know how you prefer the mattress to feel.

The Artisan Bespoke 004 is very medium feeling in it's comfort layers; i.e, not too soft nor too firm. As it is made from 100% natural fibres it is also a very cool mattress and ideal for anyone who identifies as a 'hot' sleeper.

I trust that this has fully answered your question but if you do have any further queries then please don't hesitate to contact us on 0161 413 2268. We are open Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm and Saturday and Sunday 10am to 4pm.

Kind Regards, Lee.
