Which kingsize do we need?
Hi, i weigh 11 Stone 4 pounds, my partner weighs 9 stone 7 pounds. We are looking for a mattress for under £1000, what firmness would you suggest is best? Also what is the difference between the origins 1500 and the origins 1500 latex? Many thanks
Hi Tom,
Thank you for your question.
The support from a mattress is dictated by body weights and at your body weights, I would recommend a medium spring tension for you both as this will give you the correct support required. The upholstery layers are what dictate the comfort and we would need to know how you like a mattress to feel when you actually lie on it.
The spring tension in the Origins Pocket 1500 is a medium which is the correct support and then the upholstery layers which are there to give you the comfort are also a medium.
The difference between the Origins Pocket 1500 and the Origins Pocket Latex 1500 is that the Origins Pocket Latex 1500 contains two layers of Talalay Latex on top of pocket springs and would be quite a firm mattress for you both. If you have never slept on Latex before, you would be advised to try some Latex mattresses as it gives a totally different sleep sensation than a traditional pocket sprung mattress.
