A customer asked

Hi, I am looking to purchase a super king size mattress topper.

We bought a new mattress only 4 months ago, there is not a problem with it however I suffer with polymyalgia and have severe neck, hips and back pain, and often wake in pain We have been using a mattress topper a deep one but just ordinary filling, but they soon wear and loose shape.

I would like to know what would be the best in memory foam and something that is not to warm as I read they can retain heat.

Hi Dawn,

Memory foam is very heat retentive as it utilises body heat to be able to mould to your body.  A latex mattress topper would be a better option as it is more durable and responsive than memory foam and does not retain heat.  The only latex mattress topper we have is a medium density.  We also have a Laygel topper, gel infused into foam which is a soft density which will provide a soft sink in sensation.  Both of these mattress toppers are fully turnable.

Latex 100% Natural Mattress Topper

If none of these are suitable there is a company called Soak & Sleep that have a wide range of mattress toppers available.

I hope this was helpful but please do not hesitate to contact the office on 0161 437 4419 should you require any further information.  Our office hours are 8 am – 8 pm Monday to Friday and 10 am – 4 pm Saturday and Sunday.

Kind Regards
Michaela
