Pillowtop mattress problems

Hi. I'm looking to buy a new kingsize mattress as our current one was a pillow top and frankly was one of the worst purchases I've made!
I'm interested in a pocket sprung with memory or latex as I feel this would suit both my husband and myself. Your site has given me so much helpful information to go on and I thank you for this as buying a mattress is harder than I first thought!
I do have one question though. iv come across a mattress which claims to have mirapocket technology and was wondering what your thoughts on this were as I've read many people do not like the silent night miracoil mattresses and prefer the traditional springs/" title="pocket spring">pocket spring. I too am swaying towards this but just wanted to be completly sure as ive narrowed down two mattresses, one being mirapocket and the other traditional pocket spring (both 1500) both with a memory topper. thank you and kind regards. Only Silentnight use the trade names of MiraPocket & Miracoil and out of the two, the pocket springs are a far better option than the Miracoil (Open Coil) springs they use.
Cage sprung, open coil, continuous coil and brand names such as ‘miracoil’ are all terms for the same thing. If it has ‘coil’ in the description you can be pretty sure it’s referring to a cage sprung mattress.
There are far too many viable alternatives to consider which in many cases can offer you a more superior product for your money.
In our ranges, I would recommend looking at our Origins Comfort 1000 which has a medium spring tension for the support with slightly softer top layers for the comfort. This is more than adequate for your body weights of 9st and 12.5st and represents very good value for money.
