Hi
I have a double Edwardian bed base 55.5" wide x 77.5" long. The headboard is approx 56" high and the footboard 48" high. it stands 182 off the floor with a sprung base.
I am looking for an open sprung mattress that is fairly deep ( maybe 12") to reduce the height of the head and foot boards.
What sort of mattress would yo recommend for this type of base? This bed will be used in a self catering apartment. Needs to be durable abut not too expensive. Around £300 is really my budget.
Many thanks. Look forward to your response.

Hi Kim,

The mattress size you are looking for is not standard and is therefore not offered by all manufacturers.

We can make the mattress to the size required, but only in our Artisan range, which fall outside your budget.

Please read our article here about mead to measure beds.

It is not possible to make a recommendation in respect of one of our competitor's mattresses as none of them provide sufficient detail in the description in terms of GSM (grams per square metre) for us to be able to accurately suggest how they may feel.

I am sorry if this is not the response you were hoping for, but your requirements are quite specific as as such may attract a financial premium, excluding them due to your budget.

Kind Regards Gary
