Change from pocket springs?

Linda

Thinking of replacing a 1500 pocket sprung with pillow top medium to firm with a latex mattress. My existing mattress little too firm for me. I am 11st, 5ft 4in. Looking for double size for single occupancy. I have mild to medium arthritis in my neck and am a side sleeper. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Hi Linda,

Thank you for your enquiry.

As a side sleeper, you do require added softness in the upper layers of a mattress and we would certainly not put you on a product guided as medium to firm. We note that you intend to move from a pocket sprung mattress to latex and you should be aware that the feel will be entirely different, we would recommend that you try a latex mattress in a showroom before you place your order as latex has a unique feel. The soft sink of the latex will be ideal for you as a side sleeper and we would suggest that you look at the Fusion 3, which for your body weight will provide an overall medium feel, but as we say it will have a softer sink than you have been used to with your current mattress.

Origins Comfort 1000

Alternatively, if you do decide to stick with pocket springs, please view the Origins Comfort 1000, which has a standard medium tension spring together with softer upholstery layers making it suitable for side sleeping.

We trust that this helps, but if you require any further advice or guidance, please call our office and speak with one of our advisors.

Kind Regards.
