Hi Matt,
Thank you for your question. The Vispring Greenwich mattress at John Lewis offers a medium level of comfort, and the 100% natural fibre upholstery layers contain British wool, cotton, horsetail, Shetland wool, silk, bamboo, and alpaca although there are no GSMs given for these fibres. Natural fibres provide a cooler sleep surface and help to regulate your body temperature. It also has calico pocket springs which are the best springs you can put in a mattress.
The medium level of comfort is a great all-rounder as it is not too firm for side sleepers nor too soft for those who sleep on their front or back.
Bodyweight | Spring tension |
---|---|
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kg | Medium (1.4mm) |
16 Stone / 101kg Upwards | Firm (1.6mm) |
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call) | Soft (1.2mm) |
The spring tension is based on your body weight and height to provide the correct level of support. For anyone under 17 stone, the medium spring tension will provide this whilst those between 17 stone and 23 stone would require the firm spring tension.
Our closest model to the Vispring Greenwich mattress is the Artisan Bespoke 004 which is also constructed with 100% natural fibres in the medium comfort level upholstery layers. You can select the correct spring tension for the handmade calico pocket springs.
I hope this helps and if you would like any further information or would like to discuss your individual needs, please do not hesitate to contact the office on 0161 437 4419.
Kind Regards
Michaela
