Divinedunlop mattress
Hi
I'm thinking of getting an all latex mattress, and this seems the real deal https://divinedunlop.com/products/botanic-100-natural-latex-mattress.
My question is firstly is it? And secondly, do I need your sprung base or will the regular base do fine?
Thanks
Hi Eli,
Thank you for your question. Latex foam is much more breathable than memory foam as well as being instantly responsive. With a latex mattress, both comfort and support are in one. This means you need to ensure that the density of the foam will support your body weight but also provide you with the level of comfort you prefer. The mattress you are looking at is available with 4 different densities.
- Soft: Density of 63 kg per cubic metre, suitable for body weights up to 47 kg, 7.4 st.
- Medium: Density of 75 kg per cubic metre, the standard firmness, suitable body weights between 47- 88 kg, 7.4-13.9 st.
- Firm: Density of 83 kg per cubic metre, recommended for body weights between 88-120 kg, 13.9 - 18.9 st.
- Extra Firm: Density of 83 kg per cubic metre, with two additional Coconut Coir layers, recommended for body weights over 120 kg, 18.9 st.
- Also available with different densities for couples of differing body weights.
This mattress is stated as being 100% natural organic latex and is certified OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. However, we have never come across this company before, so we do not know the quality of their products. The only company we know for certain that sells quality latex mattresses is Latex Sense. I would recommend looking for some independent reviews of the mattress.

This mattress would be fine on the Contemporary platform divan base, which would give the mattress uniform support. I would not recommend the Artisan pocket-sprung base for this mattress, which would make the mattress very bouncy.
I hope this helps and if you would like any further information, please do not hesitate to contact the office on 0161 437 4419.
Kind Regards
Michaela
