What is the depth of the Origins Comfort mattress

Thank you for reaching out to us about the Origins Comfort 1000 mattress.   This mattress offers a soft to medium comfort level, complemented by a medium spring tension that provides excellent support. When selecting a new mattress, it's important to find the right balance of support and comfort. The internal spring unit delivers support based on your body weight and height, while the upholstery fillings on top ensure a cosy sleeping surface tailored to your sleeping preferences.

The Origins mattresses have a depth ranging from 30 to 33 cm (12 to 13 inches)  However, please note that mattress manufacturing isn't an exact science, so we can't provide a precise measurement. Unlike many other manufacturers, we do not include the mattress cover in the overall depth measurement. Some companies may add an extra 1-3 cm to the depth by incorporating the cover and quilted layers into the foam measurement, which we believe can be misleading. We feel it's important to provide an honest representation, so we do not count this additional thickness in our depth specifications. Keep in mind that the actual depth of your mattress may vary slightly due to the cover and any quilted features.   We don’t think this is a fair practice, so we don’t count this 1-3cm in the overall depth of the mattress. Remember that, when choosing your mattress, it may be slightly deeper than listed due to the cover and undulations.

The depth of the mattress side panels measures 10 inches, but with the added layers of wadding, the overall height reaches a more substantial 13 inches. The side panels are expertly machine-stitched and finished with a coordinating, durable fabric. Additionally, the mattress cover is made from a luxurious soft-knit fabric that contains silk for an extra touch of comfort.

When placing two mattresses from different manufacturers side by side, you may notice a variation in height. This can occur because each mattress may be constructed with different materials and fibres.
