Back pain after birth, help please

Hi I am looking for a mattress that supports my lower back.
I have been experiencing back pains for 13 years since the birth of my daughter.
I have brought different mattresses but none of them seem to be helping.
Last year I brought the Coolmax performance 1000 pocket sprung mattress but now my hips & thighs hurt too.
Also I was so desperate that I tried my dads Ortho firm mattress but that has given me more pain & right down to my legs.
Some days I even have trouble getting up.
So now I have given his mattress back & using my Coolmax 1000 again.
Would a topper help for the Coolmax mattress , if not please give me advice.
My back is causing me so much stress.
I weigh just under 9 stone.

I am so sorry to hear that you have suffered for so long with back problems.
Looking at the specification of your current "Coolmax Performance 1000" Mattress, this is made up of 7cm of memory foam on 13cm of reflex foam support.
It sounds as though this mattress is slightly too firm for you and by adding a mattress topper this could help with softening down the mattress for you.
