Choosing a double mattress which is going to be suitable for you both, is going to require one of you making a compromise as at 10st you require a medium spring tension whereas your partner requires a firm spring tension.  The springs in a mattress are there to give you the support and need to move with your individual bodies to enable you to have correct support.

It would mean either yourself going onto a firm mattress and you would then need to add a soft mattress topper or your partner going on to something that is going to be slightly soft for him.

We have two ranges of pocket sprung mattresses, our Origins Range which has man-made fibres and our Artisan Range which have natural fibres.

In the Origins Range we would recommend the Origins Pocket 1500 but in a 2000 spring which is going to be comfortable for your partner but is going to be very firm for you or the Origins Pocket 1500 which will give you a medium support but your partner a softer support.

In the Artisan Range, they all have different comfort layers but we can tweak the spring tension to suit your body weights.   The first four mattresses in that Range all have a medium feel in the comfort layers and we can either make the mattress with a medium spring tension which is right for you but is going to be slightly softer for your husband as he requires a firm spring or we can make the mattress with the firm spring but then it is going to be very firm for you.   Any of the mattresses in the Artisan Range can go onto a slatted base but this will firm the mattress up even more.

We also have our Hybrid Range of mattresses which are foam mattresses very much like memory foam.  The Hybrid 5 has a firm core mattress but with a separate cool blue topper which has a medium density making the mattress medium to firm for you but more medium for your partner.  This mattress has a similar feel to a Tempur Sensation and it may be preferable for you to go and try this mattress in a Local Store.  It will give you then an idea as to how this mattress actually feels.

We have our Fusion Range of mattresses which are made of 100% natural Latex.   These mattresses have a similar feel to a Dunlopillo mattress which again you could go and try in a Local Store.  Again this would give you both an idea as to how our mattresses would feel.   These mattresses do however need to go onto a solid base due to the fact that they are 100% solid Latex otherwise the Latex would form between the gap in the slats.
