Bunk beds for children

A customer asked

Hello I'm wanting to buy a triple bunk bed for my 6 year old daughter. Mattresses are an option to come with the beds - either Superior Deep Quilted or Memory Foam Mattress. Are either of these any good or should I look at purchasing mattresses separately?

I don't want to spend loads on mattresses as this bedding may only be for the next 4-5 years, but in that time I would like her to have comfortable sleeps. Can you recommend anything. Thanks Deej >

Hi Deej,

Thanks for your question.

We do not manufacture bunk beds and I would not recommend memory foam as this is very heat retentive and can cause problems.

We need to know body weights in order to discuss suitability of models but for children of that age we would normally only recommend either the Origins Comfort 1000 or Artisan Luxury mattresses. Both these models have a soft top layer allowing the child to grow with them with the Luxury being the softest mattress we retail.

Bodyweight Spring tension
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kg Medium (1.4mm)
16 Stone / 101kg Upwards Firm (1.6mm)
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call) Soft (1.2mm)

I hope this has answered your questions fully but if you do have any further queries please don't hesitate to contact our office on 0161 437 4419.

Kind Regards, Lee.
