Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, we discontinued our ottoman base some time ago. When researching ottoman bases, you should check that the lifting weight is sufficient for the weight of your mattress.

In our Artisan range of mattresses, which are predominantly constructed with natural fibres, we use two rows of firmer pocket springs along with hand-side stitching for edge support. Our Origins range of mattresses, which are mainly made of manmade fibres, utilises butterfly clips for edge support.

We are online only and do not have any showrooms. When you try a mattress in a showroom, you will not get a true representation of how the mattress will feel, as many potential customers will already have softened the upholstery layers. A new mattress will always feel firmer as the upholstery layers are compacted during manufacturing, and it takes you sleeping and moving around on the mattress to soften them.

As it can take 4 to 6 weeks for your body to adjust to the new mattress, especially if you are moving from foam types such as memory foam or latex to a traditional pocket sprung mattress, trying a mattress for a few minutes is not long enough to determine if the mattress is suitable. All customers of a standard size mattress are covered under our 60-day love it or return it guarantee. We do ask that you use a mattress protector and give the mattress a good month or so. If, after this time, you are not getting along with the mattress, you can either send it back for a full refund, or we can do a one-time exchange to another mattress, depending on how you found the first one.
