Thank you for your question.  All our Artisan models can be made to bespoke sizes, please note there is an additional 10% per 6 " increment on whichever model is suitable for you and there is no '60 day love it or return it' guarantee on any bespoke items.

The John Lewis Luxury Egyptian Cotton mattress is made for the JL store by Harrisons.  As a means of direct comparison, you should take a look at the offerings from Feather and Black to see if they have a similarly specced mattress.  Even though the mattresses from F&B are under their own label, the bulk of them are also manufactured for them by Harrisons.  Unfortunately, you will find precious little detail on the amounts and weights of upholstery contained and so I would be inclined to question the sales assistant on this in order for you to determine where your money is going.  As for us, we base our comparable models to Vi-Spring. The details on the listings are quite open and incredibly easy for you to do your own comparisons.

At the body weights you have supplied you would need a medium spring tension and your partner would need a soft spring tension to give you both the correct level of support.  This is achievable with either a dual spring tension or the zip and link option, both available in King Size and above.
