Hello,
As a previous customer of an Artisan Bespoke 002 which is proving an excellent bed, I am now looking at purchasing 2 more beds. I like the spec of the Hybrid 4 and wonder if I would be able to use an electric blanket ,probably an overblanket, with this mattress ?.

Hi Paul,

That's great news that the Artisan Bespoke 002, our two tired spring, mattress, is proving an excellent bed.

That's a good question. Whilst technically you could use an electric blanket with a hybrid or latex mattress it would make the bed incredibly soft and change the overall feel. I wouldn't recommend it, also if it got too warm for continued periods of time it may damage the foam. The foam reacts to heat with the Hybrid 4 so speeding this up all over would soften the sleep surface.

Hybrid 4 Tempur Cloud 27
Cover Micro-quilt John Ryan Cover with tape edged damask sides 1.5cm extra soft quilted polyester cover
1 7.5cm 60kg Laygel 2.5cm Extra Soft layer Tempur Foam
2 6cm 40kg Memory Foam 7cm comfortable layer Tempur Foam
3 5cm 60kg Laygel 8cm Durable base layer
4 10cm Reflex Support Foam 8cm Durable base layer
Total Depth 28.5cm + 3-5cm for the quilted cover 27cm

Hybrid foam is warmer than a traditional mattress so sleepers usually find they warm up quicker in these beds than say a traditional pocket sprung mattress. Which may remove the issue of needing an electric blanket?  We've also recently improved the covers making them damask, tape edged and with handles for the hybrid and latex models so they will look similar now to the Artisan Range.

I hope this helps Paul and if you need further guidance please give us a ring to assist on 0161 250 9821.
