Is a medium feel mattress the one for us?

Hi,
Me and my wife are looking for a new double mattress as my wife suffers from back and hip problems and often wakes up in pain. My budget is around £500, I weight 15 stone and my wife 14 stone. After trying some mattresses in stores we think a medium feel mattress is best for us. My wife likes the feel if memory foam after sleeping rounds a friends house and waking up with a lot less pain than usual. Would your Origins Pocket Reflex 1000 feel similar to a similarly priced pocket sprung memory foam mattress? Also I'm very interested in the origin pocket latex 1500 but that is stretching my budget, what would the advantage of this mattress over your origins pocket reflex 1000 or Origins Pocket 1500 mattresses in terms of my wife's hip and back pain.

At your body weights we would match you both with a medium spring tension to get the right level of support;

| 16 Stone / 101kg Upwards | Firm (1.6mm) |
| Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call) | Soft (1.2mm) |
With those existing pains we wouldn't be recommending the Origins Pocket Latex 1500 as a suitable mattress as this is the firmest mattress within the Origins range and this will only serve to exacerbate those pains.
As such, I'd recommend more the Origins Pocket 1500. This is a true medium feeling model in the top upholstery providing that slight sink but not too much.
The old advice out there was to go for a firm mattress for aches and pains but the opposite is true these days; The advice is to go more medium or soft.
