Mattress for 64 year old 20 stone 6'-1; back sufferer
Hi I'm looking for a new king size Mattress for a slatted bed, I suffer with low back pain. My wife is around 12 stone and diabetic and gets very hot.
We use a 50 mm memory foam topper at the moment but looking for something better. Would consider Tempur but reports all very confusing.
Any advise much appreciated and if possible write up and pictures of any recommendations along with prices.
Many thanks and regards.

Hi Eric,
Thank you for your enquiry.
The first thing to say is that with your particular weight differential, a one tension mattress such as Tempur would be wholly inappropriate. We do not make or recommend memory foam mattresses as they are renowned for heat retention, which is not good for your wife and the slowness to return to shape, making it feel like you are climbing out of a hole when wishing to change position during the night.
We would suggest you opt for a split spring tension, firm for you and medium for your partner. Such products are only available in our Artisan range in king size and above, which contain natural upholstery and should help keep your wife cool. Please view the products in this range and in particular the Artisan Naturals and Bespoke 004, both of which can have the spring tension selected to suit and both of which will provide the same overall feel even though the Naturals has 85% natural upholstery as opposed to the 100% in the 004.
Full details of each product are provided on site together with prices. We trust that this helps, but if you require any further advice or guidance in respect of our products, please call our office on 0161 437 4419 and speak with one of our advisors.
Kind Regards.
